5 Steps to a Dog Bath
Step 1:
Bring your dog to the toilet or proper area to dog bath him. (Remarks, if your dog has tangled hair, comb your dog before you start dog baths as water will make the mats worse)
Step 2:
Test the water temperature and adjust the water before you start wetting your dog thoroughly. (Remarks, it is wise to use warm water)
Step3:
When first spraying water to your dog, remember keep the volume low and start spraying onto dog’s paws. This make them feel comfortable of the warm water. Remember, dog’s head will be the last part to be wash. As dogs will start to shake once you spray water on their head. Also, do not spray water into your dog’s ears. As, water will contribute to dog’s ear infections. Just cup your hand over to the dog’s ear.
Step 4:
Rinse out the shampoo, rinse out thoroughly.
Step 5:
Blows dry your dog. If you have a big dog, make sure you have two towels. If you have long hair dog, squeeze the water out from the fur before start blowing.
Additional Steps:
This is an additional step just in case your dog has the capability to produce great odor. Add vinegar or lemon juice when you rinse your dogs. This help!
If you want to clean your dog’s ear, take a cotton ball and wet in with mineral oil, gently clean the dog ear. Mineral oil helps the growth of parasites in dog ear.
Now, you have a healthy and clean dog. Enjoy dog bathing!
